Yes, You Can Do This!

Dr. Michael Gray No Comments

Most people want to look better and that is a very normal feeling to have about your outward appearance. After all, studies have shown that when we humans are satisfied with our physical appearance, our mental state improves. Unfortunately, too many people procrastinate the wonders of cosmetic surgery.

There are several reasons why cosmetic surgery is put off until later, but the longer it remains unchecked on your “To-Do List” the longer you’ll be delaying feeling beautiful. Life is short and as Dr. Michael Gray of the Michigan Cosmetic Surgery Center and Skin Deep Spa is fond of saying, “Live now… feel better.”

The Flat Belly You Always Dreamed Of – The Hour Glass Tuck by Dr. Michael Gray

Dr. Michael Gray No Comments

Women want a flat belly. And if you are like 60 percent of American adults, you are carrying more belly fat than you want in the abdominal region. The spare tire is the nemesis of most men and women and it can be dangerous to your health. But when looking at the tummy, there is more than “what meets the eye”. In addition to fat, there is skin and the abdominal girth (i.e., how protuberant your tummy is and what is your circumference).

Due to cultural differences, women, unlike men tend to hold their tummy in. They do this mostly unconsciously resulting in the appearance of a flatter abdomen. The reason most women hold their stomach in will never be identified other than this feat can be accomplished unconsciously to some degree without expending energy. Many women have done this so long that they don’t even realize they are doing this. Those of us who don’t hold our abdomen in will never think another human can achieve this! Why? Because it requires too much energy and effort!

Dating Again? Remember: Your Eyes Show Your Age

Dr. Michael Gray No Comments

Whether you realize it or not, our eyes tell a lot about us. The way our eyes are seen to others demonstrates expression and emotion. If you have bags around your eyes or a lot of wrinkles, people will begin to think you might be older than you actually are. Also, the natural effects of gravity cause the skin around your eyes to sag and wrinkle, which can make you look sad, angry or tired.

Many celebrities and professional models choose to have cosmetic surgery performed on their eyes first, before any other body parts. It is essential to their careers that they look younger than they are.

It’s important that you look and feel your best. There are many times when we all want to look younger than we are. If you’re beginning to date again in your 30’s, 40’s, 50’s or 60’s, you want to look as young as possible, don’t you?

Cosmetic Surgery Must Be For YOU!

Dr. Michael Gray No Comments

People decide to get cosmetic surgery for many reasons. There is a common misperception that individuals get cosmetic surgery in order to please their mate. Truthfully, the most important reason for you to talk with Dr. Michael Gray at the Michigan Cosmetic Surgery Center and Skin Deep Spa is if you’re interested in having cosmetic surgery done for YOU.

Even famous celebrities don’t get cosmetic surgery for other people. They do it so that they feel better about themselves. That is first and foremost.

The ultimate goal of cosmetic surgery is for you to feel great about how you look. This alteration in physical appearance will directly affect how you feel emotionally and mentally. Of course, your significant other will love the way you look, but it’s essential that the number one reason you do this is for your own health and wellness.

The Post-Pregnancy Mommy Makeover by Dr. Michael Gray

Dr. Michael Gray No Comments

It’s been an impressive list of celebrities who have had babies so far this year. The list of new parents reads like a Who’s Who in Hollywood. Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria Baldwin delivered a new baby, as did Kate Middleton, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Simpson, Kim Kardashian and Kristen Bell. And if you take a look at these celebs post-baby photos in the gossip magazines you’d think they magically returned to their pre-pregnancy look immediately after leaving the hospital.

But not so quick! Remember that many hours of Photoshop magic are spent on making these women look perfect on the glossy pages of the magazine. Photoshop only works for printed images and not for real life when new moms head to the beach or swimming pool or just to the health club. After childbirth, many new mommies struggle with the changes their body underwent during the nine months of pregnancy. Proper nutrition and exercise will only get you so far because it’s a challenge to get your tummies, breasts and thighs to return to their pre-pregnancy shape. This challenge often causes many new mommies to lose self-esteem and become depressed.

Arms Like Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock

Ever wish you had Celeb Arms? Famous celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock have arms that are the envy of most women. There’s no flab there; their arm muscles are toned and beautiful.

But of course not everyone has thin looking, muscular arms. Many women are embarrassed by their arms. They’re flabby and unflattering no matter how long they spend in the gym with personal trainers and on diets. Many women have loose arms from weight loss or aging. Those are just facts of nature. For three seasons out of the year — spring, summer and fall — we’re wearing short sleeves which make many women self-conscience. Summer is bathing suit time and no one wants to head to the beach or swimming pool when you’re embarrassed about the way your arms look.

So, how can YOU have arms that you’re proud of rather than arms that you want to always cover up?

Who has tried “B”? Vitamin B is the Fountain of Youth in a Little Vial

Homo Sapiens are remarkable living creatures capable of almost anything. Mankind has developed remarkable abilities to manipulate his environment. These manipulations although all not in the interest of other species, have for the most part resulted in the betterment of life as we know it here on earth. From the stabilization of weather conditions with air conditioning to cool and heat to warm, to the manipulation of mold to produce penicillin, mankind has developed his mind for the most part the betterment of society. When man has not figured out a way to produce chemicals themselves he has used other living species to produce them for him. Botox is a chemical produced by another living organism which has been used by mankind like mold is used to produce penicillin.

There are certain things that we all take for granted. Shaving, like brushing our teeth, is one of those things that we just consider to be a fact of life. We presume that after a certain age in our youth we’ll be doing this daily task forever.

Cosmetic Surgery Not Just for Celebs

Dr. Michael Gray No Comments

I was listening to the radio the other day and I heard the DJ ask listeners to call in and tell who their favorite celebrity is who has had cosmetic surgery. Callers began reporting names like Courtney Cox, Kim Kardashian, Jamie Lee Curtis and Heidi Montag. But those are just the names of celebs who talk openly about their procedures. The truth is that the majority of famous actors and actresses have all had cosmetic procedures done to look (and feel!) better.

Heidi-Montag

As I listened to the names of these famous stars I thought about the thousands of regular people (celebs in their own right!) who I have helped through the years. For too long in my opinion there has been confusion that cosmetic surgery is only for the rich and famous. That is simply not the case. While it is the celebs like the Kardashians or Howard Stern who are in the news about their cosmetic surgery, it is the millions of people who experience successful procedures each year who we don’t hear about.

At the Michigan Cosmetic Surgery Center I offer dozens of options in a discreet and comfortable setting for you to begin a transformation that makes you healthier – feeling better both mentally and physically. My goal isn’t to make ordinary people look like Hollywood movie stars. My goal is to make YOU feel better about YOU. And you don’t have to be a famous celeb for that!
